Discover the Magic of Mostar: Dive into History at the Old Bridge

Nestled in the heart of the captivating Bosnian landscape lies Mostar, a city that seamlessly fuses the allure of ancient traditions with the vibrancy of modern culture. Its emblem, the Old Bridge, is not just an architectural masterpiece but also the epicenter of a time-honored tradition that draws spectators from all corners of the world: the Old Bridge diving.

Dive into History
Stepping into Mostar is akin to journeying through time. The Old Bridge, or 'Stari Most', is more than just a connector over the emerald waters of the Neretva River. Constructed in the 16th century, it stands as a testament to the city's rich history and its resilience.

Each summer, the city comes alive with the spectacle of the Old Bridge diving competition. A tradition spanning centuries, this event showcases brave young men taking a thrilling plunge from the bridge into the chilly waters below. But it's not just about the dive; it's about the spirit of Mostar, the celebration of heritage, and the indomitable courage of its people.

Two Categories, One Spirit

Participants can choose between two diving styles: feet-first or the more daring head-first dive, known locally as the "swallow". The feet-first divers aim to slice through the water creating the smallest splash, known as the "štrâp", while the "swallow" divers present an elegant spectacle, akin to birds in flight.

Be Part of the Magic

Visiting Mostar offers more than just witnessing a diving competition. Explore the cobblestone streets, indulge in authentic Bosnian cuisine, and immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of history and culture that Mostar has preserved so lovingly.

So, whether you're an adrenaline junkie, a history buff, or simply someone looking for an unforgettable travel experience, Mostar beckons. Come, witness the mesmerizing tradition of Old Bridge diving, and take home memories that will last a lifetime.

Join us this summer and dive into the enchanting world of Mostar. Your adventure awaits!
